According to the data from the testing center, the most complaints about furniture quality in the industry are that furniture smells great. The reason is that the current domestic furniture standards have two major limitations in the control of harmful substances:
1) There is no limit standard for harmful substances in sofa products, while the formaldehyde test of wood furniture and mattress is destructive. The test requires destructive sampling of finished furniture products. At the same time, the test method is not scientific and perfect enough, and enterprises or consumers bear greater risks.
2) The technical requirements and test methods of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and other harmful substances are not stipulated in the standard of harmful substances for furniture products, while consumers complain about this aspect more and reflect strongly.
